Spring Class Schedule

Our Spring semester runs for 8 weeks, from the week of April 7th through the week of June 2nd. Our semester will conclude with Café Yoruba, a virtual mixer where we'll meet students from other sections and practice our Yoruba conversational skills.

For complete beginners or those who can only say simple expressions. This class will introduce the foundations of Yoruba language in a fun, engaging environment.

For those comfortable with simple expressions but need help constructing sentences. Build upon your skills in a supportive group environment.

For students somewhat comfortable using simple expressions but need help constructing more complex sentences.

For students who have previously completed Intermediate II or have a strong grasp of Yoruba comprehension and speaking, and are looking to deepen their knowledge of vocabulary and grammar.

1:1 lessons with one of our teachers. For eight weeks, you'll have personalized instruction tailored to your learning style and goals.

What Level is Right for You?

Before signing up, take our Placement Test to determine which class level is right
for you

  • Youʼre a complete beginner or only comfortable saying simple expressions in Yoruba.

  • You can say simple expressions but need help constructing sentences. You may have taken one or two Awujo Beginner I classes in the past.

  • You’re comfortable introducing yourself in Yoruba and speaking with native speakers, but you want to improve your conversational skills.

  • You need help constructing more complex sentences and speaking more naturally.

  • You’re already able to have in-depth conversations and want more practice. This level will refine your language skills through speaking, listening, and some writing.
